Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) Club Participates in Club Rush
September 8, 2022
On September 8th, 2022, Okeechobee High School S.W.A.T. club members participated in Club Rush. This school-sponsored event is an opportunity for clubs to showcase what is in store for membership during the school year.
Okeechobee S.W.A.T. youth focused their booth on their service to the community and ability to affect change on a state level. They displayed photos of past events and brochures, offered giveaways, and encouraged other students to join. Okeechobee High School S.W.A.T. club is excited to begin another year of fun, education, and service!
SWAT aims to empower, educate and equip Florida youth to revolt against Big Tobacco. SWAT is a movement of empowered youth working together to de-glamorize tobacco use. Their efforts aim to shape tobacco-free norms, make tobacco less desirable, less acceptable, and less accessible!
