Tobacco Free Partnership of Okeechobee Receives Proclamation for Through With Chew Week
February 6, 2018

Okeechobee High School SWAT Vice President Mariah Spelts and Okeechobee County Tobacco Prevention Specialist receive a Proclamation from the Okeechobee County Board of County Commission declaring February 18th through February 24th Through With Chew Week.  The proclamation brings awareness to the dangers of smokeless tobacco and highlighted local usage rates for Okeechobee County.

SWAT aims to empower, educate and equip Florida youth to revolt against Big Tobacco. SWAT is a movement of empowered youth working together to de-glamorize tobacco use. Their efforts aim to shape tobacco-free norms, make tobacco less desirable, less acceptable, and less accessible.
